Physically very heavy – an expensive way to convert your lovely, light iPad into a Netbook. Forget about reading Kindle or any other book-like activities. It’s on the desk from now on. If you want a Netbook buy one.

I did a lot of research to try and find a solid case for my iPad 2 that incorporated a decent keyboard. The Crux360 came highly recommended and I really like the solid feel of it when it’s put together with the iPad – it feels very secure. The case has a good hinge, a little on the stiff side but this means there is no undue movement once you have opened and placed it on your lap. On opening it wakes up the iPad and there is a definite ‘click’ when closing, telling you that your iPad is turned off.

I’m learning to touch type and the keyboard is of a good size, but I have one small complaint. The keys are made of plastic and make a really annoying rattling sound, they do not feel solid. I think had they been made of rubber or better dampened, what is an excellent case would have earned five stars.
