Does what you expect, neat and effective.,
This is an extremely neat piece of equipment that I purchased as I was unable to find the appropriate HP docking station for a replacement HP business laptop (HP has changed the spec for the docking port – beware as the old HP docks will not fit new HP laptops).
Unboxed the unit, downloaded and ran the driver (the very limited instructions provides the URL), plugged in the unit and ‘hey presto’ it is working. In fact I am now able to use the digital video port of my 24″ monitor that was previously only running analog on the previous HP laptop/docking port combo.
Just to confirm, I am running both the (expensive i5 based running Windows Professional 7 ’32 bit’) HP laptop (1600*900) and Samsung (1900*1080) monitor at their full natural resolutions in extended desktop with digital connection to the monitor (there is a ‘VGA’ analog adapter included if required), RJ45 connected wired ethernet network at 100mbps (in parallel with the internal laptop wireless), 4 x concealed USB ports; Seagate backup drive, audio, wireless mouse/keyboard combo plus front facing additional USB and spare audio for headphones.
So downside to an actual docking station (for the few laptops that actually have the facility) is you need to unplug separate power and USB cables whereas you otherwise just press an undock button.
Simply brilliant and I strongly recommend this over a manufacturer’s docking station.

Easy to install, easy to use. Comfortable way to connect all usb devices including extra monitor, external hard drives, hubs etc to your laptop. The device performs very well – update all drivers automatically. Excellent performance with win7.

|Incompatible with Windows 7 64-bit,
Windows explorer crashed immediately after attaching the device, even after a reboot. Detached device and removed drivers and system returned to normal. Tried using latest drivers from Kensington EU website (claiming to be Windows 7 64-bit compatible) but these made no difference. Searching the web reveals that lots of other people are having the same problem using this docking station with Windows 7 64-bit.
